My name is Val Lethaby and I am a professionally-trained Civil Marriage Celebrant, appointed by the Attorney-General‘s Department to perform Civil Ceremonies in Australia. I am also a member of the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of Victoria Inc.

After attending the weddings of both my sons, I thought I would really love to become a Marriage Celebrant. I undertook the required training and now, after being a celebrant for a few years, I really love the satisfaction it gives me..

What other job could give you the opportunity to share in such a special occasion, as two people who really love and care for each other make a commitment to share the rest of their lives together.

I am available to officiate at civil ceremonies in Australia in a range of ceremonies including weddings, renewal of vows, commitments and namings.

A civil ceremony can be held at the location of your choice, be it a park, the beach, a garden, in your backyard ... almost anywhere that has special significance to you!

Apart from some required legal wording, I would love to work with you to make your ceremony unique and memorable for you and your guests.

My 'Roadie'

I have a 'Roadie' working with me for all my ceremonies.
That role includes ...

Operating the PA/Sound System
Setting up the signing table & chairs for the ceremony, if necessary
Co-ordinating music with the bridal party.
Taking care of a myriad of other things as required on the day!

During our meetings, we will discuss your music requirements for the ceremony.
